If you’re keen on the intersection between Education and the Environment this is the meeting for you! The Environment/Energy Circle Meeting will feature one of our circle's grantee partner projects, Green Schools Initiative with Executive Director, Deborah Moore. The program will include a keynote discussion on greening our community’s schools, current initiatives and local policy.

Our second featured speaker is Pic Walker, Executive Director of the Alliance for Climate Education. Pic has dedicated his career to preserving our environment. Drawing on a diverse background in education, business consulting, management and environmental science, Pic brings a mixture of experience to play in developing and leading ACE’s strategy and organizational development. He believes education is foundational to creating any positive change in the world.

Most recently, Pic worked at Blu Skye, a strategic consulting firm which develops sustainable business strategies for Fortune 500 clients. Prior to that, Pic worked at the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation leading research and development efforts for the Environment team. During his tenure at Moore Foundation, he co-developed the Wild Salmon Ecosystem Initiative, a $200+ million effort to improve the long-term sustainability of wild Pacific Salmon. Pic started his career teaching environmental studies and English at the Canterbury School in Connecticut.
